The semi-final matches of the Cameroon Handball Cup played last Saturday at the University of Yaoundé 1 Sports Complex, La Concorde produced the protagonists for the finals in the men’s and women’s categories. In the ladies category, defending Cameroon Cup holders TKC of Yaounde, who eliminated FANZ in the home and away legs by respectively 25-21 and 11-08, will play against Dynamique of Bokito.
The team from Mbam et Inoubou Division beat Armed Forces and Police (FAP) of Yaounde (18-17and 09-09). In the men’s version, FAP of Yaounde who ousted Phoenix of Douala (27-11 and 12-11) will defend their title against MINUH of Yaoundé. MINUH, on their part, overpowered Dschang Uuiversity Club (DUC) (34-35 and 31-33).
The FAP versus MINUH fixture is a repeat of last year’s final. Will MINUH of Yaounde revenge? The date of the final was still to be approved by the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education at press time.
