“Just like the previous day, I was on my feet very early. As the Cameroon Cup and Championship winner for the past two years, I was upbeat. Generally, I don’t rehearse on the day or eve of a major competition. Simply, I had light breakfast composed of a cup of tea, a piece of bread and salad. I left the house at 7:30am for the Warda Sports Complex, venue of the competition.

I faced opponents in the senior men’s doubles and singles categories, beginning from the preliminaries to the knockout stages. I crashed out of the doubles category in the semis. In the Singles, however, I was unbeatable. I overpowered four opponents to sail through to the semis and eventually to the final. At 4pm, I moved out of the Sports Complex for the house to rest ahead of the final on Sunday.”
